At CarePlus we take pride in hiring staff members who embrace our philosophy. Our team members are dedicated to acting as a partner, an advocate and a friend to our clients and their families during what is one of the most challenging, transitional periods in their loved one’s lives.
Lindsey Feldman joined CarePlus in 2017 as a Client Care Manager and brings extensive experience managing organizational operations including human resources, non-profit management, case management and care coordination. Prior to coming to CarePlus, Lindsey was the Operations Manager for the Nonprofit Village in Rockville, MD. She was responsible for office management and client relationships. During the past several years, Lindsey was the lead case manager with a nonprofit organization serving youth and families. In her case management role, she identified appropriate mental health evaluation and treatment resources as well as coordination of services provided to youth. In addition, she play a key role in the organization’s human resources/personnel management, project management and resource development. Lindsey has a BS in Secondary Education. When not at work, she is very active with her three children and cheering them on with their myriad of activities.
Funmi Johnson joined CarePlus in 2016 as an assistant to human resources and Staffing Coordinator. Funmi has her Masters in Management Science and a Bachelors degree in Marketing. Funmi has over seven years experience in banking as a Customer Service Officer. She wanted to pursue a career in caring for the elderly and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in 2016. Funmi has previously worked at Premier Home Health as a CNA and at Asbury Methodist Village in their dining department. She is currently working as a Staffing Coordinator. When asked what makes you proud to work for Care Plus? “Helping families to find the right caregivers for their love ones.” Funmi, currently lives in Gaithersburg with her husband and daughter, Mercy. She is active in her church, loves visiting local parks for adventures and she also enjoys cooking for her family.
Ummi Mgaza joined CarePlus in October 2015 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and has cared for many of our clients. Due to her caring nature and attention to detail, Ummi was promoted to Staffing Coordinator working with Donna at our satellite office at Kentlands Manor. Ummi is married and has two young duahgter and enjoys shopping and spending time with her family. When asked what makes her proud to work for CarePlus? “I like the people I work with because we work as a team and feels like family.”
Andrew joined CarePlus Home Health Inc. in 2014 as the Client Care Manager and works with prospective and current clients ensuring our high customer service standards are being upheld. Andrew earned his B.A. In Public Policy from Northeastern University and brings 15 years of customer service experience, including working within the healthcare field for 10 years for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Massachusetts. After relocating to Maryland, Andrew worked for Potomac Community Resources helping young adults with Cerebral Palsy and two senior citizen communities: Sunrise Senior Living of Rockville and Kensington Park Retirement Community. Andrew offers compassion and personal experience due to his parents passing away from health complications during his college years. He also became the primary caregiver and Power of Attorney, for his Grandfather, who was diagnosed with Dementia and later Alzheimer’s. When asked what makes you most proud to work for CarePlus Home Health Inc.: “Ensuring our families are treated and receive the level of care I would expect for my own family.”
Andrew, has lived in Germantown for five years and when he’s not working enjoys spending time traveling and going on new adventures with his family: Kristen (wife), Donnie (son), his two dogs Lucy and Josie and turtle Crush, playing video games and watching sports.
Carolyn joined CarePlus in 2015 as the Director of Operations. Carolyn comes with over 30 years of private duty and Medicare Home Care operations experience and Hospital Administration experience. Prior to coming to CarePlus she was the Director of Assisted Living at Kensington Park, was the Vice President of Operations for LifeMatters for 6 years and worked for Suburban Hospital within the Cardio Pulmonary unit for 16 years. Carolyn has spent over twenty five years volunteering and holding board positions for a variety of non-profit organizations, including: Alzheimer’s Board of the National Capital Area, ASSISST, GROWS, The Support Center and Family Services. When asked what makes her most proud to work for CarePlus Home Health Inc.: “The quality of the caring field staff that we hire and place in the homes of our clients.”
Carolyn received degrees in Respiratory Therapy and Health Care Administration from Northeastern University in Boston. She lives in Germantown with her son Sean. In her spare time Carolyn enjoys fishing, sailing and anything near the water and gardening with her son.
Patty Ticas joined CarePlus in 2017 as a Client Account Coordinator. Prior to working for CarePlus, Patty worked for a primary care doctor’s office for 5 years with administrative and customer service experience. She loves helping others and is happy to be working with CarePlus. She lives in Gaithersburg with her husband. In her free time, she likes reading, spending time with family and loves the beach. She is looking forward to being in the CarePlus family for years to come and to help our clients and caregivers. In Patty’s words, “CarePlus has that family feeling that no other company has.”
