Even before the interview process begins our caregivers are given a comprehensive screening pre-interview which includes a skills assessment, health review and other pertinent requirements.
Once we determine they are a viable candidate then the interviewing and hiring process may begin. As a licensed residential service agency by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office of Health Care Quality, we have high standards. We follow all hiring guidelines. In addition, we take extra steps including conducting a national and local criminal background check, E- Verify (homeland security check and social security confirmation), and making sure that all employment & character references are verified.
Another important hiring decision is our applicants that have had previous experience nursing or caring for another person and possesses personal qualities such as respect, integrity, honesty, and sound judgment. These values are the foundation of our agency.
